Dennis Ross, President

Dennis Ross began working in radio over twenty years ago with XHRM, an R&B radio station based out of San Diego, California.  Dennis moved to Portland, Maine in 2005 when he was presented an opportunity by the FCC to own, run and distribute music that brings joy and meaning into people's lives.

Dennis envisions a WJZP that is more than just a radio station, making great jazz and community conversations available to everyone through broadcast, live performance and outreach.

Billy D, Program Director

When Billy D was 8 years old, his parents bought him a copy of “Thriller” and it didn’t leave the Fisher
Price turtle shaped turntable until “Purple Rain” came out a year later.

A graduate of New England School of Communications, Billy D has worked from Carnival Cruise lines and Old Port clubs to 102.9 FM WBLM, 106.7FM The Bone, 90.9FM WMPG, and for TV news at local CBS and FOX affiliates.

Billy D brought his talents to WJZP in March 2016, where he launched The Motown Lunch Hour, a seamless blend of throwback tracks and historic facts representing the very nitty gritty of THE Motor City!

Jazzy K2, host, Jazz Brunch

Jazzy K2 lives on the East End in Portland, Maine where she works as a data migration consultant. When she's not taking you on a Sunday tour of the one true art form to originate in the United States, she's beekeeping, climbing mountains or riding her K2 snowboard.
